The year has certainly flown by. It does not seem long since the Autumn term.
We will be sad to see our class leave on Friday but at least we get to see them grow in confidence and maturity as they go up through the school for the next four years.
This week the last PE day will be Tuesday then I will send the kit home. Some of the children’s books will be coming home this week. Some I need to keep until the end of the Autumn term.

What lovely weather we had for our picnic.

The children worked very hard to make all the flapjacks, rocky road, muffins and sandwiches.
We had lots of positive comments from parents who all enjoyed a chance to chat with other KS 1 parents. Here are just a few of the pictures we took during the afternoon.
Our sunflowers have now got so tall we have had to re pot them and put them outside. They seem to be growing every day.
You may have noticed a new planter outside Year 2. We are hoping to put our beans in there.
We have been looking carefully at the main parts of a plant : roots, stem, leaves, flower, stigma and stamen.
We have been learning about which parts of the plants we eat.
Did you know that broccoli and cauliflower are actually a plants flowers !
